Did you know that today is National Bundt Day? I just found that out myself! I think it's a terrific day to have - and a great way to start the Christmas Give Away Extravaganza! To bad I can't send everyone a Bundt Cake! lol

Nordic Ware has the most amazing selection of bundt pans. I thought a bundt cake was always made in the same round pan with a hole in the middle, but apparently not! Surprise!! :) When given the opportunity to review a pan and offer another as a give away, it took me quite a while to pick the "right" pan. There are just way to many options.

I didn't want a pan that would make a large cake. With just the two of us now, there is no way we could eat a whole cake. So I thought I'd get a pan that would make a couple of smaller cakes. Well - the options were many in that category too!

I opted for the Garland Bundt Pan. This way we could have a little cake and the rest could go in the freezer for a later date. 

I was very surprised at how heavy it was. It's made from cast aluminum, and cleans very easily. It's a nonstick pan but they still recommend spraying with oil, or oil and flouring the pan for easy removal of the cakes. There is a recipe for Caramel Applesauce Cake in the packaging, so that's the first cake I tried. It's very yummy :) and they came out perfect! Aren't they just the cutest?

This wonderful cookbook also came in the package. It's full of delicious looking cakes, deserts and even a sandwich you can make with a bundt pan. I do believe that all the recipes that are for the large pans would also work on the small pans, you would just have to adjust your baking times. I did try it with a banana bundt cake recipe and they turned out equally well, just don't bake as long.
