*Where are you from? Tell us a bit about yourself.

I'm from Eugene Oregon, the land of rain and moss ;-) I live in a crazy household with my husband and 17 year old son, several parrots, and 2 coonhounds. I am an Etsy addict and Star Trek geek :-)

*How did you decide on your shop name? Why did you start your business?

My nic name is Rhi (short for Rhiannon), and this started out as just a supply shop, so Rhi's Bits And Beads seemed to fit. I started on Etsy in another shop with a partner and that didn't work out, so I started putting my jewelry in this shop.

*What are 5 things you want people to think when they see your product?

When people see my jewelry, I'd like them to think that it's pretty, affordable, well made, original, and would look wonderful on them or as a gift for someone.

*What’s your supply addiction; is there a specific color or type of supply you just can’t pass up?
My supply addiction is pearls. I just love them! They are classy, always in style, and go with everything. I think that every woman needs at least 1 beautiful strand of pearls. I have several strands already, but I still have to remind myself that I'm making them to sell and not to keep, lol.

*What do you do when you’re not being an artist? What activities do you enjoy?

When I'm not making jewelry or promoting my shop, I'm doing school work. I recently decided to go back to school so I could finish up my accounting degree. I also enjoy spending time with my family and the "critter crew".

*Which item in your shop did you enjoy making the most and why?

I enjoy making all of the items in my shop. I decided a while ago that if I didn't enjoy making something, then it would show in my work. I want everything to look nice, so if it's not fun I don't do it.

*Do you have any family Christmas Traditions?

Our tradition is fairly new and is more of a memorial. We have a live tree that was planted in a container when hubby's father passed away a few years ago. Christmas was his favorite holiday and he went all out with trees and decorations, so we bring in the live tree every year and decorate it in memory of him.

*Is there a favorite food that you and your family enjoy during the holidays?

Our favorite holiday food is cookies. I bake tons of cookies every year to give away as gifts, so we have lots of extras for the family to munch on.

*What is the best part of Christmas for you?

The best part of Christmas for me is getting to see my family, but most of all my Dad.
